Pippa Pinkerton comes from an industrious, imaginative and a delightfully chaotic family living on Wigglers Island in the Willamette Valley. When their family Labradoodle is about to give birth, Pippa, age 10, finds herself left to her own devices to deliver the puppies. Can she do it alone? Will she have to? AND when one of the puppies goes missing, how will she find him, and how will she prove she is a responsible puppy parent?
TLS DeCoster
Teri’s true love is entertaining kids. Her favorite moments are spent with her four grandchildren playing games, throwing tea parties, singing chants, and climbing trees. Stroodle’s adventures started when Teri discovered her love of storytelling as a teen, writing about her doodle pup, Coco La Moco, and her Cat, Karate. She kept a journal for many years recording her comical life experiences so she could write more about them later. She has also written many articles for the medical field, charities, and church, and even wrote a monthly family blog before blogs were popular.
Teri lives in the Pacific Northwest in a small Kentucky farmhouse, where she and her husband have managed twelve horses, raised three kids, and loved four dogs over the past 25 years. Her evenings are spent gazing at the incredible sunsets from her deck and imagining new stories for her readers about Stroodle the Labradoodle.
Heidi Jay
Heidi has been drawing ever since she was old enough to hold a pencil and pencil sketches are still one of her most favorite things to do. This is her third collaboration with TLS DeCoster. The first collaboration was an alphabet coloring book, in which Pippa was first introduced for the delightful character that she is. Besides illustrating children’s books, Heidi knits, paints murals, has designed graphic art for country music bands, created graphic work for gamers and designed art exhibits and merchandise.
When she isn’t working on an art project, Heidi can be found at the barn, teaching students and riding horses. A horse trainer for many years, she also works with non-profits, high school riding teams and horse clubs to promote good handling and horsemanship. Heidi rides, paints and illustrates in the Pacific Northwest. She loves the rain
